Comparision of viaTOLL user accounts

    A user account contains data on vehicles registered in the viaTOLL system. The data is set out according to payment method, communication channel, transactions executed and, in the case of a prepaid account, available funds. Each account may hold one or more vehicles.

    There are two account types: pre-paid and post-paid. Users of pre-paid accounts must hold sufficient funds before the toll can be used. Fees for use of toll roads by the vehicles registered on the account are deducted from the user account automatically during the journey. All post-paid account balances (for all vehicles registered on the account) cover the sum of payments that should be settled at an appropriate time, specified in the contract.

    What happens when your account reaches its minimum threshold?

    When the pre-paid account balance reaches the limit established during registration, the viaAUTO unit assigned to that account will produce a double sound signal (if the balance is over the minimum threshold, viaAUTO produces a single sound). If the account balance goes below 20 zł (amount required to travel on the longest section of a toll motorway) the barrier does not open up automatically at the entry and the user should use manual payment (collect a ticket at the entry and pay for it when leaving a toll section) or top up their account.
