What is it?

A driver of a motor vehicle or a combination vehicle with maximum permissible weight ≤ 3.5 tonnes, who would like to use the viaTOLL system on the GDDKiA managed motorways, the A2 Konin - Stryków and A4 Bielany Wroclaw - Sośnica, must equip their vehicle with a small, electronic device – an on-board unit called viaAUTO. It is a unit which transfers encoded information about the vehicle to the transmitters fitted on the barriers. The signal is sent while a vehicle passes through a toll-gate, which is located at entries and exits from the motorway sections included in the viaTOLL system. viaAUTO provides a possibility to charge electronically a due toll for the use of GDDKiA managed motorways, the A2 Konin - Stryków and A4 Bielany Wroclaw - Sośnica, instead of making a manual toll settlement at main carriageway toll plazas.

Installation of viaAUTO is very simple - you should stick viaAUTO to the inner side of the vehicle's windscreen with the bilateral fasteners attached to the package. Inside the package there is also a detailed user guide, which describes the installation process and provides additional information on the operation of viaAUTO. The on-board device uses batteries and therefore does not require connection to an electrical outlet in the vehicle. viaAUTO can be used only in the particular vehicle to which it was registered.

To avoid confusion with on-board units from other countries, viaAUTO is marked with the logo of viaTOLL system.

Below, a picture of viaAUTO and the logo of viaTOLL system:

The viaAUTO device complies with all requirements and regulations deriving from European directives. Hereunder is a declaration of conformity.
